Funding Frontenac Bird Studies

The Migration Research Foundation is an incorporated not-for-profit organization with full charitable status in both Canada and the United States. We rely on grants, private/corporate contributions and volunteers to support our operations. Donations to MRF are tax-deductible for both Canadian and American residents.

Baillie Birdathon 2009

The Baillie Birdathon is an annual fundraiser for bird conservation organized by Bird Studies Canada (BSC). On any day in May birders count as many species as possible in a 24-hour period at any location of their choice. Registered birdathoners collect sponsorship pledges from friends, family and colleagues either at a flat rate or on a per species basis. The Baillie Birdathon is a primary fundraiser for many conservation organizations, including the Migration Research Foundation. Proceeds from the birdathon go directly to support the operating costs of MRF and its programs, By lending your support you will be making a significant contribution to our work in the study and protection of birds and also the national and international efforts of Bird Studies Canada.

Thanks to all of the birdathoners and sponsors for making the Baillie Birdathon a success for MRF and Frontenac Bird Studies in 2009!
